Privacy policy

SEOHabit uses the information you provide to operate its website checks, authorized automatic submissions and SEO maintenance workspace.

Information we store

We store account email addresses, protected password hashes, project settings, submitted product information, scan results, support messages and subscription references. API keys and session tokens are stored as hashes. Your source files and task briefs remain private to your account.

Public and private information

Directory submission profiles and status notes are private to your account. With your authorization, we send the information required by an eligible directory, which may include your website URL, description and contact email. External directories have their own privacy terms. Historical SEOHabit submission records remain stored for account and support purposes.

Website checks

Checks retrieve the public pages you ask us to inspect. We retain findings, relevant page information and timestamps to deliver results and compare changes. We do not ask for your customers’ files or analytics login passwords. Authorized Lighthouse checks retrieve the selected public page and its referenced public resources, which may include resources hosted by third parties. Reports retain lab measurements and timestamps.

Crawler request logs

For requests claiming to be Googlebot, we keep limited server logs including the source IP address, response status and timing to check crawler access. We remove request URLs and headers from these logs; files rotate with a seven-day retention setting.

Language preference

An essential cookie remembers the interface language you choose for up to one year. It helps keep your language when you sign in or return from checkout. It is separate from optional analytics and does not contain your account or website details.

Optional analytics

With your consent, Google Analytics helps us understand page views and use of our tools, registration and subscription flows. We do not intentionally send form entries, submitted website URLs, email addresses, passwords, API keys or source code to Google Analytics. We do not enable advertising personalization. You can decline analytics or withdraw consent through Cookie settings in the footer.

Service providers

Our hosting infrastructure stores and processes service data. Creem processes payments when subscriptions are available; card details are handled by its checkout and are not stored by SEOHabit. Optional Google Analytics data is processed by Google. These services may process data outside your country.

Retention and your choices

Free report history is retained for seven days; paid report history for 90 days. We retain account, subscription and security records as needed to operate the service and meet applicable obligations. You can revoke project API keys, cancel renewal or request access, correction and deletion through the contact form. Account deletion does not replace cancellation of an active subscription.
